Young people aren’t turning toward socialism for no reason. They’ve watched trillions go to wars, bailouts and crises while housing, healthcare and college became less affordable. The answer isn’t more government control—it’s sound money, and replacement of the Federal Reserve.
“We have a labor shortage! Hundreds of thousands of jobs unfilled.”
Have you offered better wages?
“lol, no.”
Then you don’t have a labor shortage. You just want more cheap foreign labor.
Pretty sweet that ginormocorps that gobbled up freshly printed money and then refuse to pay workers more. It’s not even just the Cantillion Effect.
They just took the new money, and then hired the Third World to keep wages as close to their pre-inflation rates as they could.
It’s not just white collar jobs like software. It is everything. Trucking, welding, factory work. You name it.
Mr. Savage bought his first home for $45K in 1974 in NorCal. Average household earnings were $15K/yr. So the cost was 3X yearly income.
Avg household income today is 100K. Average house prices in his area today are 1.25 Mill. 12.5X yearly income.
So, in short, stfu Michael.
A cost-of-living analysis comparing housing, education, healthcare, and household expenses suggests a full-time minimum-wage worker in 1971 had a lifestyle affordability similar to someone earning around an estimated six figures today.
Tucker Carlson and Ben Jordan discussing how it was discovered that Flock employees had requested access to video feeds of children at a day care center over 1,000 times. All grown men. None were fired.
The Declaration of Independence is the greatest document ever produced by man. It’s no coincidence that it was the founding document of our nation and we went on to be the most prosperous civilization in human history. Any country founded on that document is worth loving and fighting to save.
It is also, undeniably, a radically libertarian document that clearly states the validity of natural God given rights and that the only legitimate role for government is the protection of liberty.
We have serious problems in our country today and we will be much better off if we follow the spirit of our founding document than the brain dead varying socialisms being promoted by both political parties.
The situation unfolding right now is the perfect example of why the majority of the American people have either outright rejected or are at least requestioning the US-Israeli relationship.
Currently, there is an obvious divergence between the US interests and the goals of the Israeli government.
We desperately need a deal to end this disastrous war and save the global economy. Trump obviously wants that at this point and has already said Israel was forbidden from attacking Lebanon. (You may recall every pro Israel account on here claiming this as proof that Trump calls the shots). The ceasefire that the President of the United States of America wants depends on Israel not attacking southern Lebanon.
So, Israel announces they’re doing it. The best Trump can say is no boots on the ground and he won’t even hold on that.
This is a country whose very survival let alone ability to conduct any of these elective wars is completely dependent on US tax payer money, and support. We unconditionally support them even as they undermine our nation.
This is beyond intolerable. You can call all of us every name in the book but it’s just too obvious.
Pretty much all of the prominent voices who supported the Iran War assured us it would be over by now. None of them will admit they were wrong. Even less will they admit that their initial assurances were based on nothing but their own wishcasting. This whole shitshow has been an enormous waste of time and resources and our country has not benefited from it at all. Its advocates have moved the goal posts repeatedly and have even to this day refused to clearly articulate what constitutes a victory and how we’ll know that it’s been achieved.
There's a reason that the 00s feel like the last real decade. Something happened in 2009. iPhones invented two years before. Then in 2009, Facebook rolled out its personalized algorithm-driven feed. Twitter and Instagram followed a few years later. I really think, if you have to point to just one culprit (though there are several), it would be this. The algorithm killed the monoculture more than anything else. We live now in a culture almost entirely shaped by the algorithm, which is to say that we have no culture.
In the past 48 hours the ruler of the great world empire has been beefing with the pope and indulging in self-exultant idolatry all while being at war with Mohammedans, so as an enjoyer of 16th and 17th Century politics it has at least been an entertaining weekend.
So far this week:
Trump threatened to wipe out a civilization on Tuesday.
Announced a ceasefire on Wednesday.
Israel leveled parts of Beirut on Thursday.
Iran shut down the Strait of Hormuz, AGAIN.
Gulf states are still intercepting drones.
13 American service members are dead. Over 3,400 Iranians killed. 1,500 dead in Lebanon.
And this administration has the nerve to call this a win.
They light the world on fire and then take credit for calling the fire department.
Ethical hacker Ryan Montgomery says that people can watch your private cameras and post it online if left with default settings.
He said that there are active communities on Reddit and Discords with more than 2000 members sharing these live feeds.
In his video, he shows a quick example. Searching "controllable webcams reddit" brings up recent posts with links to unsecured cameras, like one at a water park in Czechia that anyone can pan, tilt, and view without a password.
This is what he suggests: "Google the model of your cameras in your house and make sure they are not exposed to the internet publicly. Stay safe."
The people of Iran will suffer, declaring total war on a nation that never threatened the US homeland is morally reprehensible. May God spare the US, if the American people were to be collectively punished for the sins of our government we would be treated to the same fate as Sodom & Gomorrah.
Every American casualty. Every plane lost. Every death. Every child left without a parent. Every dollar spent. Every cost of living increase. Every hardship that this war creates.
All of it is on Trump and his inability to be a man and to just tell Netanyahu to fuck off.
