@ChShakeelGujar@CDAthecapital@dranamfatima@MohsinnaqviC42@CMShehbaz@MIshaqDar50
@dranamfatima Planting a few hundred saplings doesn’t erase the fact that Islamabad lost over 40,000 mature trees to road expansions & commercial projects. You can’t cut a forest all year and then call a photo‑op plantation ‘restoration’. This is greenwashing, not conservation!
@Aadiiroy2 Conservation should not mean erasing centuries‑old communities to make space for commercial projects. Heritage villages deserve preservation, not displacement - & environmental protection should apply equally to all, not selectively. Get your facts right pls and do some research
@Aadiiroy2 No one disputes the importance of protecting Margalla’s ecology. But removing native residents while simultaneously planning commercialisation, restaurants, and tourism infrastructure raises serious questions.
@Aadiiroy2 Saidpur Village existing since the Mughal era, with documented habitation for centuries. Families living here today are descendants of those original communities, not illegal occupants, get your facts right!
@Aadiiroy2 The narrative of ‘encroachment’ does not apply to Saidpur or Nurpur. These are not recent settlements, these are indigenous Potohari communities whose presence predates Islamabad itself. Historical records show Saidpur Village existing since the Mughal era
CDA itself became an encroacher lead by corrupt mafia... want to make money, destroy Islamabad and may be leave Pakistan or get promotion to another Govt department.... shame
CDA isn’t just after the working class anymore. now they’re sending notices to people legally living in gated societies too.
7 days to surrender your property in the name of greenbelts… this country has literally gone to the dogs.
CDA’s demolition drive in Saidpur, Nurpur n other areas is pushing poor families into homelessness while powerful housing societies get ‘regularised’. How are ancestral residents suddenly ‘encroachers’? Equal rights must apply to everyone - not just the rich!

@mohrpakistan@HRCP87@nchrofficial
Pathetic state of affairs. Government is destroying the homes of villagers to sell the land to big corporations for the construction of large housing societies or skyscrapers without providing alternative arrangements for the natives of Islamabad. This is absurd
Potohari families are being punished for simply existing on their ancestral land. The way locals in Saidpur & Nurpur are being displaced echoes the injustices faced by indigenous communities worldwide. This must stop. #SaidpurDemolitionCrisis
@MohsinnaqviC42 who are these hotels being built for? Why would tourists come to Islamabad if you're destroying historical villages? Noorpur and Saidpur are hundreds of years old, they are culturally significant. Tourists come to Pakistan to see PAKISTAN, NOT Shanghai and NYC!
The people of Saidpur and Potohar are facing the same pattern seen throughout history: powerful institutions displacing weaker communities. These residents are not obstacles - they are custodians of living heritage, and they deserve justice. #SaidpurDemolitionCrisis
@Muhamma95093419@ZahraShahPTI Just for being Potohari speaker you wish to deprive us from the very fundamental and contituional right to live, No fair compensation was given at that time during martialaw. You should be ashamed of this racist comment @SaifRaja009@ehti83@SaidpurVillage
The people of Saidpur, Nurpur & Islamabad r facing inhumane treatment as homes r demolished without justice or compassion. No community deserves to b uprooted or erased. Human dignity & heritage must b protected. ##SaidpurDemolitionCrisis
CDA Breach of Trust in Historic Saidpur Village!
Descendants of Sultan Said Khan (16th century founder) are being uprooted from their ancestral homes at the foothills of Margalla Hills. This land, rich in Gandhara, Buddhist & Mughal heritage, was unfairly acquired in the 1960s for Islamabad’s development (F-5, Secretariat, Blue Area, Monal etc.) with peanuts compensation (Rs. 38/kanal!) & no proper rehab.
In 2008, CDA Board itself approved Saidpur as a Model Village to preserve its identity & ensure native residents are NOT uprooted, with full community participation. Residents cooperated: vacated tenants, demolished old structures, rebuilt only self-occupied homes. CDA then built tourism/commercial spots.
Now? CDA is demolishing & sealing native homes, direct violation of their own 2008 decision!
CDA = Corrupt Development Authority? Even the Interior Minister has highlighted massive issues in CDA. Millions in bribes taken by CDA officers, and everyone knows this rot goes right up the ladder. Native families who sacrificed prime land for the capital are now being betrayed & displaced.
Immediate halt to demolitions & evictions! Protect ancestral rights. Adhere to 2008 policy.
Natives are ready to support anti-encroachment & security measures but treat us as stakeholders, not targets!

Forced demolitions in Saidpur, Nurpur and Islamabad are stripping citizens of their basic rights and dignity. Development can never justify dehumanisation. Communities deserve protection, not displacement. #SaidpurDemolitionCrisis
"We've been living here for 500 years. They've demolished our house
We Are your People, We didn't come from India. We are Pakistanis"
–An affectee of Bari imam
Heartbreaking to see families in Saidpur, Nurpur and Islamabad losing their homes overnight. These communities aren’t obstacles - they are living heritage. No one should be treated as if their existence doesn’t matter.

@Alyhassan959@malyhaz This video is from my village Saidpur where CDA has erased old settlements along with encroachment on two hours eviction notice they have demolished entire homes leaving people helpless under open sky, despite written agreement by CDA with residents of saidpur we are under threat
