metaphor's narrative is really refreshing in atlus' modern catalogue because the entire plot is just We Need to Fucking Kill This Guy, no contrived third act twist villain needed
@witchofthepitt@Doortobe@SupriyaGanesh Blumhouse bought the movie after it was made so it was still an indie production but it is owned by a wealthy parent company
@SheevTalks He didn’t want Clark’s powers to be exposed. It’s pretty dumb that Clark didn’t just save him wishes be damned but it’s very clearly communicated and makes sense within the story even if it’s stupid
@Superguy551 They didn’t end up doing that for metaphor and they released a statement a while back that basically said “our games aren’t selling as well as they should bc ppl are waiting for the definitive edition” so hopefully they’ll start doing it more as DLC or smth
@TheHuntsladyMHW Old gen isn’t elegant but I’d still take it over knowing where they are on the map for free like in the last 2 games. So far world has done it the best imo
@StevenWallaby It is genuinely really scary and well acted with a premise that grabbed people and good marketing. Sometimes it’s just a bit of lightning in a bottle

Obsession is ultimately a film about how ordinary men can commit extraordinary violence while genuinely believing they're the victims. How a "nice guy" can wish someone into a cage and then slowly rationalize why he shouldn't let them out. How the distance between fantasy and reality can cost lives.
