@LadyHaywire @John1986ire A vet showed me a trick one night we were in similar situation.. put a coat , old blanket or whatever you have to hand over the cow's head and block off her vision. I couldn't believe how well it worked, and have done it a couple of times since when calving feisty ladies.

@2pintpaddy @aoifedoyle7 Just drive on Paddy, personally I don't think it affect conception rates. Be much worse to get a blast of the virus in the breeding season imo. Just like the covid vac. no guarantee the vac will give 100% protection either, but we can only hope for the best.

@Friesian_man neighbour had problems a few years ago, lost a couple of calves & reckon he'd have lost more if not with them, he blamed a pre calver mineral lick he was using, although others using the same lick had no issues
