Mom,Wife,T1D, Autoimmune battles, School coordinator/NYS testing coordinator/ ASL/dog lover/No tolerance for bullshit. No judgement. Fantasy journalist. Be real
@CSEALocal1000 where are you? Why aren’t U loudly advocating for your members? All support staff in schools should be receiving this vaccine equitably, right in line with teachers. They’re with the students all day as well, often with much more exposure and duration. #SpeakOut
deadass I will immediately unfollow people tweeting “how to have a healthy Easter” as a diabetic- as a child who used to receive hair clips instead of Easter eggs I can confirm that one day of slightly dodgy but still informed chocolate eating will not kill you
@ManuelScott when spking 2 school leaders be sure to emphasize including ALL staff in the conversation! Teachers r only 1 group of people that create a nurturing environment 4 our students. Aides, secretaries, monitors, all staff are imperative to students’ collective success
@ManuelScott Make sure to include support staff in the conversation. Support staff are crucial to a student’s success & are often not supported! School secretaries,as well, should be called school coordinators & change that antiquated narrative. They spend so much time with the kids!
@CNN please specify Type 2 diabetes when addressing potential spike in young people. Type 1 is autoimmune, not preventable, reversible and is a completely different disease than Type 2. Not judging anyone, just clarifying. 2 different diseases
@megynkelly I don’t know who this woman is as I don’t watch MSNBC but isn’t this nasty and immature to tweet this. Set an example for your children on social media
