What i find the most unsettling about AI is our place in the world. What happens to us once AI surpasses us? What would be the point of living? Picture living a life where your intelligence and imagination's pointless. It'd be setting us on the path for devolution.

this way of relating to nature feels far too out of fashion. caring for the creatures of earth and earth itself is incredibly fatherly and manly, yet many men find ways to justify a childish disregard and destructiveness.

this sense duty and respect toward nature is part of why i support things like shrimp welfare projects, cultured meat, etc. a good man doesn’t lack empathy for things less capable or intelligent than himself.

we should be so awash in tech and abundance that we don’t think twice about doing these things, we should be so well-resourced that we can afford to treat every miraculous inhabitant of this planet with care
