These games simply feel so different when they’re played during the day.

Understand they are doing it for time zone purposes, but every game quarter-final on should be in a dome or played at night.

Goes to show though that each set of referees has their own opinions. These calls can completely vary game to game.

Unfortunately this is the standard FIFA have set with VAR.

Any foul leading to a goal is reviewable and cancels the action. It really feels like over-refereeing because it was so far away, but this is the standard they have set.

Tim Vickery has for a long time let his political beliefs get in the way of what were once good footballing takes about Brazil. Wonder if he’d be saying the same if Ney campaigned for Lula instead. Zero legitimacy now and a clown of the highest order; it’s a shame because his stuff was genuinely good in the past.

Tonight’s U.S. performance was the equivalent to Brazil’s 7-1.

The only difference? That Germany side was 10 times better than this Belgium side. This could’ve been so, so much worse.

USMNT players look horribly spooked from the first minute of the game.

The Balogun controversy 100% affected their mental state going into this game. The game became bigger than they could handle and Belgium didn’t have to do anything special.

The United States should be ashamed. After all the hype, this is the performance you put in against THIS Belgium team?

A Belgium team that barely topped their group with New Zealand, Iran, Egypt and required a miracle to get by Senegal. Really, really bad.
