PIRATES OF THE CARREBEAN is obviously a masterpiece, but in retrospect I feel very lucky to have grown up when visual effects started to cook but productions still used huge sets, shot in exotic locations and had to rely on human stunt work in camera. we've rarely had it better
@sunflowerdaye i try to be a super long commenter as much as possible (or i guess mostly Used to be, and was kind of known for it!!) but when life got in the way i often felt it was better not to comment at all than risk disappointing the author (usually my friend!) with a less in-depth comment
@sunflowerdaye i'm lucky enough to experience it from an author's perspective & from a commenter's perspective. there was never a "perfect" update schedule but i noticed the further apart my updates were the juicier my comments got, probably bc it's less pressure (which sux but what can ya do)
@sunflowerdaye of course that's pretty silly since anything is better than nothing but especially on works that updated frequently i had trouble reading new chapters in a timely manner and as the time wore on it got harder to keep up which exacerbated my own feelings of inadequacy lol
