#MorningPrayer
Lord our God,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
you are God of Love
and God of Living;
keep our hearts and souls
fixed on your gift of life,
in all its fullness and hope.
In good times and bad,
in wealth and want,
in health and hardship,
in all, may we know
your peace.
#MorningPrayer
Work on our passions
and our priorities, Lord Jesus,
that our desire may be
to follow your will and your call,
in all things.
Fill our hearts with love
for you and for our neighbour;
inspire our will to rise
to the challenge of your gospel
in the decisions we make.
#MorningPrayer
Keep us faithful, Lord Jesus;
not to our own self-serving
plans and priorities,
but to your call, your gospel,
your kingdom agenda
of love for you and neighbour,
of generosity not greed,
of mutual peace not selfish power.
Inspire us to seek your way
in all things.
#MorningPrayer
Grant to us, Lord Jesus,
the wisdom to discern your will,
to recognise what is of you,
and what would lead us astray.
May our thoughts and our hearts
be open to the guidance
of your Holy Spirit, in all things.
Keep us alert to your call,
that we may live your love.
#MorningPrayer
Give us, Lord Jesus,
a heart like yours;
a heart of welcome
to the stranger,
a heart of grace
and forgiveness,
a heart of love
for one another
that reflects
your love for us
and echoes
our love for you.
Help us to see
your image
in neighbours
near, far,
new or old.
#MorningPrayer
Lord Jesus,
you invest in our lives
your love, your grace,
your forgiveness, your hope;
instil in us also the joy
of following your way,
of paying forward
your faith in us
as we invest
your kingdom goods
in the lives of those around us
and in the life of the world.
#MorningPrayer
Lord Jesus,
in our culture of hurry,
where everything feels urgent
and we hate to wait,
give us faith in your timing,
and patience with your will,
that we may be ready
to move or to stay at your pace,
whether now or not yet.
Give us peace
in our following
your way.
#MorningPrayer
Grant us your grace, Lord Jesus,
that we may know more deeply
the way of your cross
and the joy of your resurrection;
help us to see, not merely
with our own understanding,
but with the eyes of your love,
that we may follow more closely
your path of hope and peace.

#MorningPrayer
Lord Jesus,
catch our attention
and challenge our thinking,
when we fall into judgement;
when we let our own
priorities and prejudices
get in the way of your call
to discipleship, to mission,
to living and sharing your love with all.
Set our hearts on your kingdom.
