Looking forward to the next chapter, as I take up a community mental health role in South West Sydney, alongside my ongoing work at the UNSW Traumatic Stress Clinic.
Shocking piece by a PhD student now leaving Australia in @theage, about "the truly broken system in which researchers are expected to work in Australia”.

Here's an update to a previous drawing of the #stressbucket
I have added community connection to the healthy coping tap. I feel we need to move away from centering individualised approaches to distress.
The trauma trigger tap is a different take on how our buckets can overflow
My clients & students don't know how often I am blown away with appreciation of them as human beings. I'll leave a Zoom session and hear myself say, out loud, "What an amazing person!" I'm really grateful for them, honored to be their psychologist, and moved by their hard work!
Last day @blackdoginst, as I shift my focus to gaining more clinical experience in areas of interest.
Incredibly grateful to have worked in this brilliant org, filled with wonderful people doing meaningful work. The values of Black Dog have left a lasting impression 🧡
