i think content and plot wise it could be better? but it’s a really charming novel and i loved reading it. straightforward prose is really beautiful when it’s done well and i can see why ishiguro won a nobel prize in literature

first ishiguro novel i’ve read, and i genuinely get the hype behind him as an author. his style is stupidly refined and his use of stream of consciousness makes it really easy to just keep on reading
