watching love island with my real life buddies shows me how miserable and negative the internet is… like this show is SOOOOO fun when you don’t take it so damn serious and just enjoy it as a fun silly dating show. these two are cute asf!!!!!!!!!!!
This moment was the one for me, and to add on...a lot of what he's saying can be applied to other struggles not just addiction...what a blessing Ali was to Rue
i'm surprised that no one realised this was a fuck you to the american ideal and how hard it is to achieve it. moses never makes it to the promised land. rue never makes it to the homestead. none of us will ever make it when the deck is stacked against us, so what good is god?
my cousin got clean and was getting ready to move to another state for a fresh start. before leaving he decided to have "one last hoorah" with his friends. he took a small amount of xanax that turned out to be laced with fentanyl. he died.
the ending of euphoria is very real.
This scene was honestly incredibly powerful because the director completely tricked me emotionally. The first time Ali looks at Rue, I genuinely thought she had died or something terrible happened, but then the scene reassures the audience that she’s okay.
Then later the show revisits that exact same scene and reveals what actually happened, showing that Rue really did die, and honestly I thought that storytelling choice was perfection. The director understood psychologically that the audience desperately wanted Rue to survive, so naturally we accepted the hopeful version of events without questioning it too much. And then reality finally hits later on.
One thing I’m strangely grateful for though is that Rue died at Ali’s house. Out of every possible place, that honestly felt like the safest and most peaceful place for her final moments to happen. #euphoria
