The incident involving Mason Greenwood and his partner Harriet Robinson remains an unquestionable truth. Greenwood's responsibility in the matter has never been contested. While legal proceedings might have ceased, the evidence remains accessible to all. We've heard it, we've seen it—absence of a "guilty" verdict does not equate to innocence.

I recognise Mason Greenwood's exceptional talent on the football field. Although his present value may have experienced a setback, there's a possibility that his merit could ultimately recover and even exceed past accomplishments. However, the question remains: is that trade-off worth compromising the club's integrity?

It's worth contemplating whether a player with a track record of abusive behavior resonates with the principles championed by Sir Matt Busby, the individual largely accountable for shaping the identity of this club as we know it today. Personally, I'm inclined to think otherwise.

Our stance shouldn't revolve around monetary considerations. Instead, it ought to reflect the feelings of the predominant fan community, which, I'd like to believe, parallels your stance in unreservedly condemning all forms of domestic abuse. Reflect on the situation as if Ms. Robinson were your own daughter. Would you find it acceptable for him to perpetrate upon her what he did?

I earnestly implore you to make the ethical choice and refrain from reinstating him. I'm afraid my loyalty to this club would waver, if not wane, should Mason Greenwood find his way back—be it as a player or in any capacity. May we prioritise the principles we hold dear over financial considerations.

My view on the Mason Greenwood situation.

I did not want to comment but I think with a decision on his return looming, the more people voicing their opinion, the better.

Mason Greenwood did not make a ‘mistake’.

People refer to what happened as if it were a singular incident or an accident. The reality is much worse.

4 years of physical & mental abuse and sexual assault/attempted r*pe is not a mistake, it’s a choice. A choice that he made on multiple occasions.

He should not be associated with our football club in any way.

If we bring him back, it sends a terrible message to female players, young players, and fans around the world.

It needs to be known that we do not tolerate these actions.

If you’re excusing what happened because he had a half decent season back in 2019 then you need to give your head a wobble. This narrative that he was putting out insane numbers is a lie. He was an exciting prospect, nothing more.

Lastly, he was not found innocent, the case was dropped. We’ve all seen the evidence and it’s damming. Just because his girlfriend has chosen to forgive him, does not make his choices any less horrific.

I’m shocked that people feel sorry for him. He should count himself lucky he’s not in a prison cell.
