The portrait of OBT's founder, Sister Mary Franciscus, hung prominently in the reception area of our Sunset Park location, is a warm and constant reminder of our steadfast dedication to honoring her lifelong legacy, which propels us forward.
Five years ago I left @OBTJOBS to gain a better understanding of the statewide workforce system and now I’m back ready to implement what I’ve learned & to serve the communities I hold near & dear to my heart!! #purposedriven & #grateful

This is one of the coolest things I’ve seen on TV. This ESPN corespondent made “thoughts and prayers” more than just a cliche statement. He actually prayed live on the air for Buffalo Bills Damar Hamlin.
Today is a very personal day for my family. My wife's aunt, Maxima Jean-Pierre, lost her life on 9/11. The matriarch of the family. She housed, cared and supported them all as they each arrived from the Dominican Republic to the US. May God bless her and may we never forget.
Wherever her education led her, Diana Caba always planned to give back through public service. Thanks to Public Service Loan Forgiveness, she’s had nearly $180,000 in student loans forgiven, allowing her to pursue her dream of empowering her community. #PSRW
Senator Chris Murphy (@ChrisMurphyCT): "The 14 kids dead in an elementary school in Texas right now. What are we doing? What are we doing? Just days after a shooter walked into a grocery store to gun down African American patrons we have another Sandy Hook on our hands."
A 100% #IncomeDiregard will grant low income NY'ers who are predominately of Color a real shot at obtaining a job that can provide family sustaining wages & provide a true path towards economic mobility @AndreaSCousins @CarlHeastie @HeleneWeinstein@LindaBRosenthal
These are elementary school children who woke up this morning. Who ate their favorite cereal. Who tied their shoes in double knots. Who laughed with friends on the bus. Now more than a dozen are dead. This isn’t normal. It doesn’t have to be this way. It can’t keep being this way
Henry Street serves the vibrant LES, a neighborhood marked by vast income disparity and one of the largest concentrations of public housing in NYC. Low income NYers have suffered the most during the pandemic. We urge our reps to pass #IncomeDisregards! @yuhline@BrianKavanaghNY
