From someone that works in this industry, I’m also incredibly lucky to have a salaried position elsewhere. For many of my zero hour colleagues, the gigs that have been cancelled due to covid-19 has huge implications to their lives.

Can we just talk about how covid-19 has affected the gig culture zero contract hours workers. Gigs have been cancelled, with no way to pay the staff who work 60+ hours a week normally now facing zero hours, zero income.

I know they can be entitled to statutory sick pay but they’ve not been told to come to work cos they personally are sick so are they entitled?? #employmentlaw
