@Iniskeaman@MayoGAA All these sponsored vans are primarily used for personal use.
Charities, football clubs you name it, they are all the same.
When you donate to any of these , some voluteer is benefitting from it personally in some shape or form.
No new news here really.
Here's the latest genius idea from @MayoCoCo Councillors - proposing the removal of the SAC designation from the area of the Clew Bay Complex SAC around Westport Quay.

This is ridiculous.

If you've cut the grass already this year; for shame.
Leave the lawnmower alone! It gives a chance for bees and other pollinators to feed on dandelions. The only problem with long grass is that you've been conditioned to think it's 'untidy'!
Wexford Town #GE24 Knocked on doors all day in Wexford Town - People are struggling to understand why Establishment Parties keep getting back into Power despite their total failure to build a fair Society. Don't vote for any Party that was ever in Power if you want change...
Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) migrating in the upper River Mulkear catchment. This is part of the Lower River Shannon Special Area of Conservation. More salmon can pass through this cascade in an hour, than through the fish pass at the Ardnacrusha hydroelectric station in an entire year. There are hundreds of rivers like this upstream of the Shannon dams that have no salmon.
@IrishRainforest The real question is who can you vote for who will change this.
The answer is nobody because they are all the same about the environment.
The farming lobbyists rule the roost in this country.

@SadhbhO Don't you think the price has already been the rivers and lakes.....They are spreading slurry like crazy the last week and knowing the rain was coming.
"That is a constant stream of waste that the lands just can’t cope with. It’s just too much… The overriding problem is the number of farm animals”
Great investigation from @noteworthy_ie out this morning on *the* greatest source of raw sewage in Ireland

@IrishRainforest Just like the neat and tidy brigade exists in every town & village in Ireland.
Unfortunately, most people don't see the value of wild spaces.
Of 6,300 recorded events of wild mammals on @ReWildWicklow trail cameras, a full 72% were sika deer.
It's LONG past time sika lost their current legal protection in Ireland, and were reclassified as what they very clearly are: a highly invasive species.

Dangerous truth is seeping into Irish media about Ukraine.
NATO fetishist, and Fear Monger in Chief Sir Kneel Richmond is given a lesson in reality by Professor Jeffery Sachs.
The story of how Lough Neagh, Ireland's largest lake, was turned into a sludge of highly toxic chemicals + bacteria stinking of death.
It's the story of where ALL our waterways are headed unless vested interests, mainly agri, are faced down.
