A Vtuber Agency Survival Guide.
Given recent events, I updated the thumbnail and title to be more explicit.
I wrote it ages ago and only posted it recently; I felt it wouldn't reach those who need it.
But... whatever.

Y'know, what's kinda funny about Vshojo is that they were one of the first people I contacted as part of building my "Vtuber agency survival guide".
They did, after all, make an early promise to be different and provide help to non-members.
They never returned a call.
Huh. The fuses from last year finally hit its end.
I didn't want to heavily advertise my new Vtuber guide when I posted it last week, but it feels oddly prescient.
Because it's secretly a survival manual about agency betrayal.

After learning about the situation, I felt that it needed a statement from an angle that I haven't seen done.
Instead of the negative outcomes, I wanted to share personal success stories.
So I rushed a video about it.

@GOGcom Surprised that Deus Ex's The Nameless Mod isn't here. It's an early total-conversion mod that's already lost its website, forum, and bonus goodies, so it's quite at risk. I've contacted the TNM dev team about this.
I thought about saying something here to reflect over this year, but nothing I thought of sounded positive. I find it hard to share my problems.
Instead, I simply hope and wish that you continue following my work on Patreon, despite constantly trying weirder and weirder things.
Even now, to this day, I wish... I had another Vtuber I could comfortably talk to, about my struggles as a Vtuber.
Something more than a distant peer. To listen with earnest, without it being awkward, or feel I'm intruding on their own time and struggles. Why can't I find them?
Oh. It's my 6th anniversary as a Vtuber today.
I was among the first dozen or so, and the first Aussie Vtuber.
6 years is a lot of time. I've seen so much... An entire birth of a subculture and business, from the very start.
Not much else to say. Just wanted to note the date.
@aourirabderahim I never actually held a deep personal opinion on LK-99.
The scientific part in me simply said "explore it until I don't have any more energy to get more data by myself", which is why I was never discouraged by any of the negative results. Not because I believed.
New blog post:
This one is just a plain personal reflection on LK99.
I'm sure people would have preferred some actual science news, but I don't have any. This is just my documenting my original thoughts on temporarily being the centre of attention.

I made a video about Fallout London @TeamFOLON where I don't use the installer and instead make Fallout 4 just read the GOG Galaxy download folder directly.
Instant easy patching.
I also made a written version and infographic.

I haven't looked at my Twitter feed in like, a month... I've had other priorities and outright forgot to share my Patreon posts and Livestreams on here.
I'm still here, but I'm probably going to have to re-evaluate where to concentrate my activity... mostly for pragmatism.
I've heard a few anecdotes about the fees for the biggest and greatest ones. It's relative to the amount they earn normally per hour ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
At first glance though your game looks good. GBC-inspired and clever use of negative space for UI. I'll put it on my "check out" list.
Just to add a little additional clarity. Since once more there's some confusion.
This was not to rag on smaller streamers. Yall rule and numbers wise yall are the most valuable for sales and growth based on what we have seen.
You keep being awesome and doing you.
Onto slightly more positive news (but only slightly) Steam has apparently been blanket banned in Vietnam.
I know it's all I've been doing lately, but there's an indie game I need to review that was made there... been sitting on footage for months now and I feel bad.
@YouTube That said, I do have to commend the @TeamYoutube operators for not dropping the ball and just writing to me, instead of pasting text from the help article.
You don't have the power to truly help me, but I know what PR & cust. support is like. It's a frustrating & repetitive job.
I'm honestly just waiting for @Youtube Creator Support to literally write "thank you for the appeal, we'll review and get back to you in 14 days",
instead of a 5th email of "Please go to the Earn page and click the Start Appeal button".
A simple acknowledgement does wonders.
@eirifu we understand how important this is for you. since you've already submitted an appeal, it's best to wait for Creator Support to get in touch w/ you via email. this is bc they have the most up-to-date info about your acct
@TeamYouTube Yes, but the responses from Creator Support so far indicate that they are not accepting my appeal in the first place, because they don't process appeals. They just tell me to submit an appeal. It's circular.
I haven't received any acknowlegement of processing yet.
At the moment, my new number one concern is the strong implication in all communications so far that my @Youtube demonetisation appeal didn't even reach the right place. That's worse than bot rejection.
I'm not trying to skip the queue here. Am I even in it?
#vtuber#Youtube
@eirifu totally understand your frustration. we'll also look into this since the Help Center article is showing up whenever you click on start appeal button. we'll reach back out if we need extra info
