February and March with LIFE on Machair is all about fences! A bigger and better temporary fence in The Valley, Achill this year. Landowners have been working with us since 2022 to make safe spaces for the breeding waders, with great success. Watch this space! #biodiversity

Even in the Poison Garden, this little guy is in isolation.

Why? Because it is one of the most venomous and dangerous plants in the world - if you touch it, the sensation is likened to being burned and electrocuted at the same time, and the effects can persist for YEARS.
