👏 Mary Heavey of CLM and Adam Boyle of @MLRCLaw highlight the urgent need for the immediate withdrawal of the Local Connection Protocol.

This protocol —issued by the City and County Manager’s Association (CCMA) in 2023 and lacking any basis in law—is acting as an unlawful barrier for access to emergency accommodation and forcing people in crisis into unsafe and inhumane situations, including sleeping in cars or on sofas.

The protocol must be withdrawn.
