Mayor Mamdani’s speech represented true love of this team. Thank you @NYCMayor for mentioning the names that wouldn’t either be named. Oakley, Donte, Thibs, IQ, RJ, and so many more. Thank you. 🧡💙🧡💙
When you are watching the #knicks parade and you notice most news reporters don’t actually know the names of most players both past and present. @ABC7NY - I can help next time.
@jemelehill I’m sure you’re not going to see this response, but I am a pretty rationale Knicks fan. The anger stems, in part, from the “Knicks for Clicks” media ecosystem. ESPN is notorious for riling up Knicks fans and making us feel like fools for engagement. This is the response.
Jalen Brunson did win a championship. So Becky Hammon, not only did the small guy win. He won against the biggest guy. There’s a reason why it’s called David versus Goliath. #knick
@The__Cooler Kraft wore a Knicks shirt. He was front row at the game. Would we call him a Knicks fan? No.
It was an opportunity to be at or around a major event. That’s my point. A kid wearing paraphernalia does make them a fan. It’s lazy analysis. So were these fans or kids making trouble?
As a #knicks fan can we stop with the narrative that Knicks fans are causing chaos and destruction?
The individuals you are seeing on various media outlets are opportunists who often are looking to go viral.
Real Knicks fans are too worried to be involved in that stuff.
@The__Cooler I’m not saying individuals shouldn’t be held accountable. But follow my line of thinking.
Were all of the individuals at Game 3 Knicks fans? Or were a number of people there just to be there? For example, DJ Khaled, Robert Kraft, Rahm Emanuel, and more. Are they Knicks fans?
@The__Cooler Respectfully, a number of the incidents were orchestrated by influencers or teenagers who used the game as a means to behave poorly. Just because they wear a jersey does not mean they are actually fans.
Mike Brown needs to talk about the officiating with the press tomorrow. Just compare what the Spurs did to Brunson with no fouls called on the perimeter with the calls Wemby got inside.
Gotta call it the same both ways. They didn't.
This isn't 1991 with legal hand checking.
It’s not just that the #knicks are in the NBA Finals. It’s that we also get to experience this with different generations of Knicks legends. To see Ewing, Clyde, and so many other players from the past witness and participate in this makes this so special.
Getting to a Finals is very difficult. I have been a Knicks fan a very long time. It’s not just that they made it. It’s how dominant they were doing it. I am so proud of this squad.
Let’s go #knicks
