On Monday, 18th May, I picked up the Expression of Interest form to contest for the Governorship of Delta State under the Nigeria Democratic Congress.

I did not arrive at this decision lightly.
Delta is a state of extraordinary people and extraordinary resources. Yet too many of our youths cannot find work. Too many of our families cannot afford healthcare. Too many of our roads, schools and hospitals tell a story of neglect, while billions move through our treasury every month.

This is not the Delta we deserve. And it is not the Delta we are going to settle for.

I am offering myself to serve — not because politics owes me anything, but because Delta has given me everything, and it is time to give back at a higher level.

Over the coming weeks, I will be sharing my vision with you in full — on jobs and industry, on education, on healthcare, on security, on the dignity of the ordinary Deltan. I want this to be a conversation, not a monologue.

My interest in becoming Governor of Delta State is not driven by personal ambition. It is driven by a deep desire to see our richly blessed state experience true transformation.

We cannot be this wealthy as a state and yet remain this economically malnourished. Delta needs more than flyovers. We need sustainable development that improves lives today and secures a future for generations to come.

I am committed to building a Delta State that will become the pride of Nigeria — a state driven by vision, industrial growth, quality education, job creation, modern infrastructure, and opportunity for all.
