Holding back tears: “It was a terrible night for women, for children, for the hundreds of thousands of hard working immigrants who make this country great, for health care, for our climate, for science, for journalism, for justice, for free speech, for poor people, for the middle class, for seniors who rely on social security, for our allies in Ukraine, for NATO, for the truth, for democracy, for decency, for everyone who voted again him, and guess what—it was a bad night for everyone who voted for him too, you just don’t realize it yet” @jimmykimmel@JimmyKimmelLive

Our first visit to @ArchesNPS was… memorable. So thankful that we only had to drive through the aftermath of these landslides and weren’t caught in them! Hoping tomorrow is better.

@TychoBrahe Best 15 lb souvenir that we ever backpacked around Europe with. Did I mention Norway was our second stop on that trip? Our kubb set is better traveled than some of my friends. 15 years later, still totally worth the sore shoulders!
I’ve spent plenty of summers in Minnesota and have been to Alaska twice, so I’d never have predicted that my first time seeing the Northern lights would be at home in Central Virginia!
I cannot explain in words how impressed and proud I am of these students and their growth this semester. They are all incredible humans, and I have been so fortunate to get to go on so many adventures with them over the semester as we learn about plants!
Last but not least, Amy created a plant biology artist's textbook complete with prints of various plant structures and dried plants that we collected throughout the semester. She transcribed her notes throughout!
