The better question is- How well can I execute my plan this week? Because in trading,the money is a by-product of discipline. The market doesn't know your bills are due. It doesn't care that you lost money last week. It won't reward you because you've had a bad month. The market only rewards consistency. Before you place your first trade this week,remind yourself of these principles: 1. Capital preservation comes first. Your trading account is your business capital,If you protect it you'll always have another opportunity,Blow it trying to get rich overnight and the game is over. There will always be another setup but there won't always be another account. 2. Risk management is your greatest edge. Many traders spend years searching for the perfect strategy while ignoring position sizing. The truth is simple: A profitable strategy with poor risk management will eventually fail. A decent strategy with excellent risk management can keep you profitable for years. Never risk an amount that will make you emotional. When emotions take over logic disappears. 3. Learn to lose the right way. Losses are part of trading. Professional traders don't avoid losses. They avoid catastrophic losses. A small planned loss is simply the cost of doing business. A revenge trade is an unnecessary expense. Accept your stop loss. Move on. Protect your mindset. 4. Patience pays more than activity. Not every candle deserves your attention.
