I’m very anti AI when it comes to art and creative.
How am I supposed to navigate building a business when my competition shamelessly leans into AI art?
It’s only going to get worse, we see other card games dabbling, Disney just partnered with OpenAi. The outrage of the internet over AI art doesn’t impact their bottom line, it feels like the majority of people either don’t notice or don’t care. As image generation improves the awareness gap will only widen.
Not complaining or looking for sympathy, I’ve taken my stance and will continue to pay and uplift my art team. Just genuinely curious how any small / indie business is supposed to compete here? It feels like we are trending toward a world and Internet filled with AI slop and it’s disheartening and soulless.
I generally stay in my lane and just worry about what I’m doing and creating but this AI situation totally sucks.
