Day started with silly little angry man and his lawnmower in the graveyard during the communion service but ended with the best hamburger and chips from Grub and Pub in Nadd, Cork. Highly recommend the burger - not the silly little angry man!
Made my first foray outside my immediate neighbourhood since Christmas. Went to visit a friend in Killarney. It was wonderful to see them again. I do miss other people. But not venturing into the great wide world yet.
@katymcguinness @MichelleMcLoug5 I temporarily board guide dogs in training. During the pandemic we have been out and about walking. All the eateries and coffee places here Ballincollig do not make a fuss at all. Quietly a bowl of water is brought and dog admired. Just a part of the service. Wonderfully relaxing
The beautiful G litter arrived Friday evening and into the early hours of Saturday morning!
Mum is Zolga, the black Labrador and Dad is a KNGF Geleidehonden (The Royal Dutch Guide Dog Foundation) yellow Labrador stud named Douwe. Zolga lives in Cork with Mary O'Mahoney.
Rainbow this morning packed and waiting patiently for her lift to work. She is so keen to head off to start her working life. Wishing her and her guide dog user a long and happy life together. @irishguidedogs
We went for a run in St Peter’s Field this afternoon - well Rainbow ran. So many wonderful smells and the wild flowers are in bloom. Bliss. @irishguidedogs@CUPCork
Rainbow & I went for a walk into the Village this morning. I so enjoyed my coffee at one of the pavement/outdoor restaurants. Great atmosphere & service. Will definitely be back for outdoor service. @inballincollig
Today Rainbow discovered the low hanging ripe black currants. She is now trying the, if I look pleading enough she will find more for me, approach. @irishguidedogs
Rainbow is a great helper. She supervised cleaning at home and at St Peter’s and even made her own bed. She has now settled down for the night for a well earned rest. @irishguidedogs
Rainbow is settling in. @irishguidedogs Not much of a gardener though. Her digging skills need working on. Positioning is sightly out but all part of a good game in the garden.
