JUST IN: Wisconsin Brewery That Promised Free Beer the Day Trump Dies Gets Notice to Have Alcohol Permit Revoked:

Minocqua Brewing Company posted in January that it would serve free beer “all day long, the day he dies,” a message widely read as referring to Donald Trump and later followed by similar comments after a shooting incident at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

In July 2026, the Wisconsin Department of Revenue issued notices to revoke the brewery’s permits at its Minocqua and Madison locations, citing beer shipped from Illinois without required permits and taxes plus other regulatory violations.

Owner Kirk Bangstad has called the move political retaliation and vowed to fight it, while the state says it is enforcing alcohol laws.
