My parents and I legally immigrated here in 1980 from Taiwan, but they both escaped China’s civil war. My dad went into the Navy to fight against the Communist regime, his dad, mom and his brothers were murdered and his only sister was sent to re-education camp. My mom’s whole family fought against the regime and had to escape to Taiwan too. We are all now American Citizens. We love our adoptive country and my kids love this country. I don’t think we should be deported back.
