@dillonreno2 It is so cool that the assistive technology in his truck can bring his wheelchair to the car door to help him exit—giving him so much independence! The canopy holds the wheelchair and adds extra protection to the device too!
@AvaMcNamara_ This video was great! I liked how it showed her daily routine and the clever alternatives she uses, like an electric toothbrush or a hot comb instead of a straightener. It was inspiring to see how she adapts and keeps going despite the challenges she faces!
@docgoble At 0:05, Amon-Ra St. Brown spots a gap in the defense and sprints for the end zone. His frontal cortex helps him make quick decisions, process the field, and plan his route while staying calm, focused, and strategic under pressure to secure the touchdown!
@docgoble At 0:28, Rahm locks his eyes on the ball. The visual system is crucial here because it processes what he sees so he can align the clubface, judge distance, and track the ball through his swing. This constant feedback keeps his focus sharp and makes solid contact possible!
@dillonreno2 I find it really interesting how this video shows EMG waves during a bicep curl! The activity increases when he curls up and drops when the muscle relaxes. It’s a great example of how muscle activity can be measured and even applied to monitor health and performance!! 💪🏼🤩
@michaelaanuness I could never do ice skating, so watching this is impressive! I still don’t understand how people can balance like that on ice. The way he uses his quads, hamstrings, glutes, calves, and core to explode down the ice is next-level! 👏🏼
I’m taking #EXS3030@oaklanduSHS with @docgoble because I view motor control as the foundation of how people move, adapt, and recover. As an EXS major with PT concentration, I’m excited to learn how improving motor control can help people regain function and live healthier lives!
