Quirky illustration, art, and design. 🎨 Personal: @emilie_music

Yesterday I painted a mural on an eight foot wooden table in the backyard. I’ve been itching to get into mural design, so what better place to practice? 😊 This time-lapse shows the six hour process! Now to brainstorm ideas for that wall behind me...

@shaunaparmesan @kyletwebster I agree with this, need the CMYK!

New profile pic to reintroduce myself as an illustrator!! 🎨

I still love design and will always be a designer, but I’m excited to take on illustration work more often. DM me if you’re looking for some art!

“Watson Wednesday 06,” created in Adobe Fresco.

My poor pup injured his paw and ended up with a skin infection, so he was put in a cone to keep him from licking it last week. He’s been a trooper and doc says he’s healing perfectly, but he definitely hates the cone of shame. 😢

Decided to try a pop-art inspired style today. I have some cute pictures of Watson wearing my glasses that I used as reference, he’s never very happy that I subject him to that nonsense so I hope I’ve captured his attitude here😂

I am so pleased with how this digital piece turned out. I was hesitant to add light and shadow but I am glad I gave it a try! #AdobeFresco #adobedrawing

@_gabrielpicolo is my favorite! The way he makes the teen titans feel like actual teens and captures them so perfectly. Forever obsessed.

“Watson Wednesday 03,” watercolor, gouache & ink pen on watercolor paper.

Happy #WatsonWednesday and #NationalPuppyDay!! I recently bought a watercolor journal and some gouache and I decided to give them a test run with a Watson portrait.

“Watson Wednesday 02”

Decided to opt for traditional media even though digital is still my comfort zone. 😬 I’ve been putting a lot of hours into learning to paint with watercolor so I decided to do some Watson doodles on my small watercolor pad for my weekly Watson piece. 🐶

[Emilie Kirkpatrick @ek_illustrates]

This piece was created entirely in Adobe Fresco for the iPad and is titled “Watson Wednesday 01”

I have decided to create a challenge for myself to showcase and improve my illustration and painting skills… and my best friend will be the subject! Here is my first entry in the series “Watson Wednesdays,” where I will attempt to draw/paint/illustrate my dog once a week. 🐶

“Hot Cup of Tea,” created in Adobe Fresco.

☕️

This season has been tough, I won’t sugar coat it. But making time for things you love like art, music, a good book, or a nice cup of tea can help a little. Remember to take some time to breathe and enjoy the little things.

“Growth,” created in Adobe Fresco.

I painted this on my iPad a few days ago. Leaning into the theme of growth this season.

Day 24. “Hellebore,” ink pen on 2.5”x3.5” Bristol trading card paper.

💙

Totally spelled the name wrong in ink pen and didn’t realize until it was too late. 😂 Oh well. It’s an odd name for an interesting flower.
