@Jeff9223 I think there are plenty of ways as a society we can reduce our carbon emissions. For me personally, I could try keeping my house a little less warm in the winter, drive my car less, and try to recycle as much as possible
@Jeff9223 I have a lot of daily routines, so I’ll just explain my mourning routine! I wake up, shower, do my makeup, get dressed, feed my cats, and then head to work! #1smallstepforward
@Nicbets I think environmental justice can be resolved with more fair treatment from community to community. If a city decides to give a facelift to one community, they should put an equal amount of money into all the other communities in need
@Nicbets I think they would yes. If a community is higher class I believe they are treated differently and more well kept by the government. This is extremely unfair but an unfortunate fact about our society
@Micah_AVGuy I do think stars are glowing orbs of heated plasma, but I also think they can signify that there is life on other planets. I am a big believer that even though we may never get proof, there is definitely other life in the universe besides us!
@Micah_AVGuy Have you ever heard of an International Dark Sky Park? It is a place that there is little to no light pollution and there are only a few in the U.S. - This summer I am surprising my boyfriend with an overnight stay at the Headlands Dark Sky Park a few hours away from me!
@Micah_AVGuy I have never used a telescope, but my boyfriend is really into space and constellations so we go stargazing all the time. We like to use the Night Sky app on his phone and point it at the sky to see the different constellations!
As we begin to wrap up the chat, let's talk about how you would personally go about creating recycled art. Without having to worry about skill or gathering materials, what is one recycled art piece you would like to create? #reartwork
Here is an example of my jewelry - check out the rest of my instagram to see my paintings! (My profile picture is one of my pieces! https://t.co/Iy8RldiD6I
I personally partake in the recycled art world through jewelry. I am a fluid painter who uses my excess paint to create acrylic skins. I then take these colorful skins and turn them into jewelry! #reartwork
A trend I noticed in recycled art is pieces made up of tiny, color-coded objects that make up a larger image. Jane Perkins is a great example of this. She makes portraits of famous people out of small objects! #reartwork
Recycled art is often thought of as big, extravagant sculptures of unconventional materials. Let's try to find some examples of recycled artwork that aren't stand alone structures #reartwork
@unicorn730 @Micah_AVGuy I've seen this on social media before, I wonder how the artist even thought of how to do that. It seems so challenging to make!
I put a spotlight on Blake McFarland, the artist who creates sculptures out of only tires, let's try to put a spotlight on others! Find an example of an artist who is skilled in using one recycled object as their sole medium. #reartwork
