I discovered on social media a press statement from the National Association of Private Institutes of Higher Education in Cameroon, relating to the problem of training medical and health personnel in the said training schools.
I would like to reassure them and their learners that this issue is well known and that constructive consultations currently taking place between the Ministries of Higher Education and Public Health are offering solutions that would guarantee both the quality of the training and more equity towards young Cameroonians who have taken up training in the health sector in these schools.
Therefore, I would like to take the liberty of inviting all those involved in the training and practicing the professions of nursing, midwivery and laboratory technicians, to maintain their serenity and to trust the Government in all solidarity, which spares no effort to ensure that the populations are provided with qualified health professionals ready to offer quality health care./-
Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) are transforming the lives of many women and girls around the African continent.
In Cameroon, not every woman is benefitting from STEM.
#ASSPRODEC is launching her #Buyam-#Sellam#STEM school to help women in markets, streets.
Through our two councils- The African Women's Education Council -AWEC and the African Women's Economic Empowerment Council- AWEEC, we work together to see that the United Nations Sustainable Goal number 8 becomes a reality for women and girls by 2030.

“We need to take our IDP girls off the streets of Douala and Yaounde and put them into classrooms, and workshops and give back their dignity.”
