New Video Captures Basij Crackdown in Iran
Newly released footage shows Iranian Basij forces shooting unarmed civilians during January’s nationwide protests. The video bypasses the regime’s strict censorship, providing undeniable proof of the violent crackdown that claimed thousands of lives while the international community largely remained silent.
He’s lying. It isn’t his “universal values” at work here. Ask him why he attends the Pakistan Independence Day celebrations in Brooklyn year after year while boycotting Israel Day events. Pakistan is an actual one-religion ethnostate by law (unlike Israel, btw).
I have NEVER interacted with this person yet I am blocked. The only reason I can think of is that I recently shared a Nova survivor’s testimony of hearing sexual violence on October 7. Shocking.
It's a new religion.
The ad hoc walk of public shame.
The declaration, voices breaking as they scream in public, that "I want you to redeem yourself."
This isn't about the real Gaza. Because to talk about the real Gaza you'd have to notice that Hamas is still holding up the Arab rebuilding, or that Iran's eliminationist war on Israel will yet drive Gaza into another war -- and Lebanon too, if Iran has its say. But these people don't believe in agency, in real people living in real places. We're all just characters in a morality play.
That's why Gaza can reorganize leftist politics even as every other priority falls by the wayside. Because this is a religion. And we are its cosmic villain.
Drop Site dates the rally to October 8 and stacks the casualty count beside it, as if she turned up to mourn dead Palestinians. The crowd that afternoon was chanting '700,' the Israeli death toll at the time, across the barricades at the Jews who came to mourn theirs.
The rally was called on October 7, the day of the massacre, in solidarity with the 'right to resist,' and DSA's own statement called the attack the direct result of apartheid.
This was a rally built around calling the killing of Israelis justified, which is why Brad Lander quit DSA over it and even Mamdani stayed away.
She doesn’t know about the rockets. She won’t acknowledge the rape. She can’t look a survivor in the eye.
So what exactly is Reem Alsalem the UN’s expert in? Because it isn’t violence against women. Ask Ilana Gritzewsky, who stood in that chamber as living proof and got silence in return.
People keep asking how the UN could sit in silence while a survivor described being raped in captivity.
The honest answer: this is what the UN is now. An institution that hands “human rights expert” badges to people who deny atrocities, as long as the victims are the right kind of victim. The moral authority is gone. All that’s left is the letterhead.
Make sure everyone knows.
A Boston-area school sent a groveling apology to students who were upset that a lesson on the Holocaust made them feel “unseen.”
Newsflash: a lesson about the systematic murder of six million Jews is not supposed to be about you.
It’s about honoring the victims and helping young people understand where hatred of Jews can lead.
Immorality is not to mention that one of the reasons the ceasefire is “so-called” is because Hamas continues to violate its promise and UN Security Council Resolution 2803 to surrender its arms.
But why call out Hamas? Just call it Palestinian children and play victim.
Not long ago, the idea of Israeli lacrosse competing on the international stage felt more like a dream than a reality.
Today, Israeli-born players who have endured war stand alongside Jewish athletes from across North America, representing a program that continues to grow and succeed.

“Dismantling Israel” is not a thing. It is not an international law mechanism.
There is no lawful process by which outsiders simply abolish a sovereign state against the will of its people and replace it with some imagined “state for all citizens.
Israel is a UN member state. It has sovereignty, territorial integrity, a population, institutions, borders to defend, and the right of self-defence like every other state.
So when people say “dismantle Israel,” they are usually hiding the operative question: by what means?
Because if the citizens of Israel do not consent to the abolition of their state, then “dismantling” it requires coercion. And in the real world, in that region, with Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, Islamic Jihad, and a century of violence against Jewish sovereignty, coercion means war, displacement, domination, and worse.
South Africa was not abolished. Apartheid was abolished. Ending a racial hierarchy inside a state is not the same thing as dissolving the national self-determination of the Jewish people in the Middle East and pretending everyone will magically receive equal rights the next morning.
