@innocence@the_MIP client #MarcellusWilliams, an innocent person — where there is overwhelming evidence that his trial was constitutionally unfair — on 9/24. https://t.co/nrejvEELJP
And of course Maria Prymachenko – she created many works about the memorialization of the heroes of Chornobyl. This work shows how during the first days people were trying to use sand to deal with fire on the 4th Block.
Let me tell you a quick story about NYT rehabilitating images real quick. When my book "American Cipher" came out, they interviewed me.
They asked me about the "Serial" podcast.
1&2 panel is what I originally said. go look at it now, it looks like 3d panel.
Why?
4th panel.
@andyglittle Friendly social interaction when time allows is great— I'm fortunate to have made great friendships at work with RNs, PharmDs, and docs. But I don't want some MD strategically memorizing details about me as some lifehack for a smoother shift.
@andyglittle As an ER nurse, this reads condescending. You don't need to know my dog's name. If we haven't worked together much and it's a large ER, it's fine to ask me MY name. Just listen to your RN's concerns about our patients and communicate effectively regarding plan of care and dispo.
Can we PLEASE stop using stigmatizing language when discussing substance use in neuro/pharmacology??
Reading terms like "opioid addicts" and "marijuana abusers" in a paper published in 2022 is frustrating.
Abortion for *lethal* fetal anomalies is now *illegal* in Ohio
I’m a high-risk obstetrician here. I diagnose birth defects
So some point soon I may look someone in the eyes & say that they, against their will, will carry to term, undergo delivery & then have their child die
The Maine State Nurses Association is leading today’s efforts. They have a list of demands being sent to Maine Med leadership in hopes of creating a safer workplace. @WGME
Nurses gather outside @MaineMed to call attention to violence they face in the emergency dept. Union rep tells us mgmt has made some concessions already. @newscentermaine#Maine
Booster Blitz™ continues.
Chaval (58 Pine St., Portland) is hosting a #COVID19#vaccine clinic on *Sunday*, 12/12, from 11am-1pm.
They will have all 3 vaccines and can vaccinate all ages.
Thanks to Chaval and Local Roots Healthcare for making this happen. #boosterblitz
2/Overall, about 65% of those hospitalized are not fully vaccinated.
But as you move to ICU and ventilated patients, the rates climb.
Among ventilated patients, it's 90%+ not vaccinated at some hospitals.
Statewide, there are 23 adult ICU beds + 8 pediatric/NICU beds free.
Stat of the Day: 361. That's how many people are in the hospital in #Maine w/#COVID19--yet another high mark.
112 of them are in the ICU--yet another high mark.
60 of them are on ventilators--yet another high mark.
What a dark day.
