A girl’s first period is more than the start of a monthly cycle. It marks a new stage of growth, one that comes with important physical, emotional, and reproductive changes. Understanding puberty includes knowing that menstruation signals the beginning of fertility and the possibility of pregnancy.

When girls have accurate information about their bodies, fertility, and reproductive health, they are better equipped to make informed choices. Knowledge empowers them to delay sexual activity, stay focused on their education, and pursue their goals with confidence.

Let’s ensure every girl has the facts, support, and resources she needs to manage her period with dignity, navigate adolescence safely, and build the future she deserves.
