TL/DR: For 90% of my career, I have had a FT day job outside journalism to pay the bills & freelanced on the side. I've had one staff role in my entire adult working life. I am once again in a non-journo day job, but I need a better financial situation & work/life balance.

I wasn't good enough.

Although we are going to have more darkness and cold in the coming weeks and months, the message was crystal clear. No more self-doubt. I am more than good enough. I am fantastic.

As part of my Mabon ritual last night, I shuffled my Tarot cards and asked the Deities and Universe what message I needed to receive as we are now approaching the Dark Half of the year.

Lo and behold, I pulled The Moon, which signifies darkness, mystery, and all that's hidden

in shadow. The words that came to me were: "Every ability you have will no longer be hidden. Everything you are will no longer be hidden."

I feel that certain aspects of myself have needed to stay hidden (my rising is Scorpio, after all) or that when it comes to certain things,
