#PopeFrancis dedicates his audience today to offer an impassioned appeal for migrants:
God "does not remain at a distance, no. He shares in the migrants’ drama, He is there with them, He suffers with them, He weeps and hopes with them."
Enough, brothers and sisters! Enough! Do not stifle the word of the God of Peace! May peace be the future of the Holy Land, the Middle East, and the entire world. War is a defeat!
Each day children, born and unborn, migrants and elderly persons, are discarded. Many brothers and sisters die sacrificed on the altar of profit, amid indifference. Yet every human being is sacred. It is the task of religions to remind the world of this!
There is a mysterious solidarity in Christ between those who have already passed to the other life and we pilgrims in this one. Our deceased loved ones continue to take care of us from Heaven. They pray for us, and we pray for them and we pray with them. #Prayer#FaithfulDeparted
The Christian should expect to be regularly crushed under the inexorable wheels of history until Jesus comes again. We are not here to be relevant, powerful, and understood. Our challenge is to simply remain faithful to the Gospel, to love our enemies, and to persevere in faith.
@go_oat Assuming the bulk of COVID truthers are the (relatively) affluent, they haven't borne the brunt of the disease yet, and so could theoretically change their minds once they begin to. I found this blog post helpful: https://t.co/N6kEkGguNX
"If you find me dead one morning, don't be troubled: it is because Papa, God, will have come to get me.
"Without a doubt, it's a great grace to receive the sacraments; but when God doesn't allow it, it's good just the same;
EVERYTHING IS A GRACE."
St Thérèse, 5 June 1897
From the open heart of the Crucified one, God’s love reaches each one of us. Let us allow His gaze to rest on us. We will understand that we are not alone, but loved, for the Lord does not abandon us and He never, ever forgets us. #GeneralAudience
We will be judged on our relationship with the poor. When Jesus says, "The poor you will always have with you", he is saying, "I will always be with you in the poor; I will be present there". This is at the center of the Gospel, so much so that we will be judged on it.
#PopeFrancis composes a prayer to Our Lady, Health of the Sick, to implore her protection during the Covid-19 #coronavirus pandemic.

(Tl;dr: the danger is in the right-wing judiciary nullifying everything good, whether they're legislation or executive orders.)
