Our Physics lab @Amundsen_HS isn’t confined to a classroom, but rather our 40 acre back yard. Students took to Amundsen’s field to test their acceleration. Come to our Open House November 5th to learn more about our amazing school
The magnitude of difference between 1 million and 1 billion is not that intuitive and can be illustrated with this example of the time scale:
- A million seconds is 12 days.
- A billion seconds is 31 years.
- A trillion seconds is 31,688 years

Her career spanned four decades and was filled with awards and accolades. A quote is hardly her legacy, but it is one of my very favorite quotes. And it is the exact right quote on a day like today.

One of the best ways to learn is to teach! Physics students @Amundsen_HS wrapped up the year by ditching the pen and paper and diving into a slew of hands-on activities. We enjoyed engaging lessons from our students. What a fantastic way to close out a great school year!
Physics students @Amundsen_HS have been putting the "physics" in "physical"! From calculating their horsepower, to engineering ways to protect eggs, we have been getting up and active to explore topics of work, power, and momentum.
We are so proud of our students who collected much needed medical supplies such as gauze, bandaids, blankets and other necessities for the people of Ukraine. 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 They are getting ready to transport the items to the Ukrainian Cultural Center, Chicago. @Ukraine@ChiPubSchools
Thank you to our guest Mr Scott Reed ( Amundsen retired chemistry teacher)for educating my freshmen @Amundsen_HS class about the Climate Change @ClimateReality
The Engineering Club students have been tinkering with physical predictions! They’re very excited to share this exploration this Saturday @Amundsen_HS at Open House.
