The Moses Bridge in the Netherlands, opened in 2010...
The Moses Bridge is one of the most innovative pieces of modern landscape architecture in the Netherlands. Completed in 2010 near the village of Halsteren, it was designed to provide access to Fort de Roovere, a 17th-century star fort that was part of the Dutch Water Line defense system.
Rather than building a traditional bridge over the moat, architects from the firm RO&AD Architecten chose to create a sunken walkway that cuts through the water. The design gives visitors the impression of walking through the moat itself, which inspired the nickname "Moses Bridge" after the biblical story of Moses parting the sea.
The bridge is constructed primarily from sustainably sourced wood treated to resist water damage. Hidden retaining walls hold back the water on both sides, allowing the path to remain dry while preserving the historic appearance of the fort. The project received international acclaim and won several architectural awards, including recognition from the Dutch Design Awards.
Fort de Roovere was originally built in the 1620s during the Dutch struggle against Spanish rule. It formed part of a defensive network that used controlled flooding to hinder invading armies, a strategy that protected the Netherlands for centuries.
The Dutch perfected "water as a weapon" through systems such as the Dutch Water Line. By flooding land to a depth of only about 12–18 inches (30–45 cm), too deep for soldiers to march through but too shallow for boats, they created vast defensive barriers that proved remarkably effective from the 17th through the 20th centuries.

@ibdgirl76@ellynarizona *Please don’t take my statement as diminishing what MILLIONS of innocent souls were subjected to in reference to those vile ones. I just want those masking as “Care Providers” right up thru Legislators to know I see them & that’s who comes to mind w/ atrocities they commit/permit
@ibdgirl76@ellynarizona What in the 1st world countries!!?!
Lump her torturous NON-care team w/ the likes of WWII demons masquerading as healthcare Josef Mengele, Shirō Ishii/Unit 731 as they should be reminded of history they shouldn’t want to be aligned with…🤮🤬👎🏼♾️
SO SORRY she endured such🙏🏼
@ibdgirl76@ellynarizona My Grandma had a double mastectomy decades ago, Mom had a partial for the Cancer + other breast to lessen uneven disfigurement. Mom said No way she could’ve endured post op painS w/o appropriate post op Rx care.
💔Unnecessary torture of those patients +families shld be criminal.
A simple but critical dietary-related correction led to the complete reversal of severe dementia-like symptoms in a 61-year-old woman who had been misdiagnosed for five years.
According to a case report published in BMJ Case Reports, the patient experienced profound behavioral changes, psychotic hallucinations, seizures, and cognitive decline. Her symptoms were so severe that she was observed talking to imaginary spirits and walking naked in public. Initial evaluations, including neurological exams and CT scans, showed no obvious structural brain abnormalities, leading doctors to manage her with anti-seizure medications as her condition continued to deteriorate.
It was only after referral to psychiatry specialists in Lisbon that a routine blood test revealed the true cause: severe vitamin B12 deficiency, which had progressed to pernicious anemia. This deficiency impaired red blood cell production and damaged the protective myelin sheath around nerves in her spinal cord and brain.
Following treatment with vitamin B12 injections and supportive antipsychotic therapy, the patient made a remarkable and complete recovery. Her speech became coherent, psychosis resolved, seizures stopped, and she regained full independence in daily activities.
While cognitive impairment combined with psychosis and seizures is a rare presentation of vitamin B12 deficiency, this case highlights the importance of screening for reversible causes in patients with unexplained neurological decline. The authors emphasize that even after prolonged symptoms, timely B12 replacement can lead to dramatic and sustained improvement.

@Elaine4Senator Senator Morgan’s brother lives with chronic pain and is unable to find a doctor to treat him with what works: opioid medication
Thank you, senator, for acknowledging this
We look forward to working with you in 2027
We need an investigation into addiction orgs and pharma funding, just like they did with pain orgs. Shatterproof lobbied for tighter Rx opioid restrictions, while maker of Suboxone called pain pts their "untapped market." Pain pts losing pain meds is Indivior's business plan and they paid addiction orgs to help the achieve this.
Government rules meant to curb opioid abuse are leaving some chronic pain patients without the relief they need, according to doctors and advocates. https://t.co/WF2n1pBWKC
Some say that “experts” like Kolodny, Juurlink, Ballantyne, Franklin, Frieden, Dowell, and Chou have arguably made the opioid crisis worse by ensuring an ever greater demand for illicit fentanyl from China and Mexico. They went after the gnat and ignored the camel because swatting the gnat made some of them filthy rich by testifying as experts in opioid lawsuits. It was never about helping patients.
Today is World Sickle Cell Day. In Nevada and elsewhere, patients with sickle cell disease are treated worse than ever, mostly because of anti opioid hysteria stirred up by ignorant politicians and self serving “experts.” Chronic pain patients struggle to access treatment while opioid deaths continue to skyrocket. @Pres_Sandoval
I stopped giving interviews a while back because I was tired of journalists twisting my words to fit their narrative
This interview was different
Heather from @scrippsnews YOU’RE A LEADER!!!

I have found this Hell. And it is one that is savage.
I have Lupus and Hashimoto's - 2 autoimmune disorders/diseases. Lupus, for me, comes with flare-ups, major joint pain where the AI attacks soft tissue.
There are lots of options for treatment, and I was doing fine with management. Then came December 2023.
A heart issue with arythmia popped up - caused by a generic issue that hadn't shown before. I ended up in the hospital for 4 days and was put on a heart, med, and a blood thinner to control the potential blood clots, which could cause stroke.
Because of those meds, I could no longer take anything more powerful than Tylenol 2Xs a day for Lupus pain. No Aleve, no Motrin, no Celebrex, Meloxicam - nothing at all.
For anyone with RA/Fibromyalgia / Lupus, you know that's like spitting into a hurricane.
At first, they prescribed hydocodone 5 mg every 12 hours. Then, the TX medical board gave the doctors a hassle. So, it went to 5 mg/day.
Then, I was told they couldn't give any at all. Pain roared through me.
A series of cardioversions followed. Two ablations to stop the arythmia. The hope was they could get me off the blood thinner if they arythmia stopped.
We aren't there yet. I'm scheduled for a Watchman surgery, so we can stop those meds. It's coming up on 3 years.
The pain is constant. Unrelenting. Day and night. Flare-ups are a walk through Hell. No one wants to treat the pain.
I now have to walk with a crutch, and my life is more difficult on a daily basis. CBD helps some - but Texas and the US govt want to take that away, too. If that happens, I don't know what happens.
So, I understand this story. It is horrifying and unfair.
@ibdgirl76 Similar to how I think of Serena Williams promoting GLP-1s for the company Ro which her husband, Alexis Ohanian, was/is an early investor in that company + serves on it’s board. Human form of Double/Triple Dipping (I’ve no interest in GLP1s, commercials are almost unavoidable).
(3) Enter Kolodny. He is a psychiatrist and an addiction doctor. He has NEVER treated acute or chronic pain. Yet, he is gifted a massive platform to lecture the elderly on acute pain alternatives. Why? Because his anti-opioid narrative is the ultimate unpaid marketing campaign for Vertex.
(1) I am going to show you exactly how it is ethically incorrect for Andrew Kolodny to keep boasting,
"I've never taken a dime from pharma."Let's pull back the curtain on how "pass-through funding" and narrative laundering actually work in public health. 👇 #ChronicPain#pain #acutepain #opioids
