🚀 Excited to share that I’m releasing Pasir v0.1 today — a PHP application server written in Rust.

This first milestone focuses on two things I care about most:
- High-performance powered by Rust’s async ecosystem (Hyper + Tokio)
- Minimal setup — zero config by default

I named it PASIR (PHP Application Server in Rust; ‘pasir’ is an Indonesian word for ‘sand’).

The initial goal of this project is to create a PHP application server that can serve PHP sites with minimal or zero configuration.

This past week, I had a great time creating a custom PHP SAPI using Rust. I built it on the foundation of Hyper and Tower. It’s looking promising as an MVP, and it’s even capable of serving a Drupal site.
