Poland refused to build facilities for processing migrants on its borders, choosing to do the opposite instead.

Instead, Poland is suspending the right to apply for asylum on its eastern border.

This decision directly goes against the EU's New Pact on Migration that obligates all EU member states to share the burden of processing asylum seekers and illegal migrants, starting from last week.

But Poland's leadership treats border policy strictly as a matter of national security rather than standard migration management.
