My guess: what Christian's call God's love is self-love in disguise. They are just pretending that it's a higher essence that they don't understand so that they can feel safer amidst the chaos that is reality. But they should really engage in a little introspection work here.

You need it until you don't need it anymore. And then, you won't care. Valuable, but not beautiful. A tool, not a treasure. But one used to uncover the treasure.
@_SirCaptain "Something came from nothing" means just as much to me as "something came from god," i.e. neither is satisfactory. God is the final explanatory cause, they think. Because you can question the universe, but you can't question god. It seems like intellectual laziness.
I love when Christians say that atheists are arrogant. The irony is that they are the ones who proclaim to know things they cannot possibly know and have a solidified schema for a universe that is still so full of mystery. The epitome of arrogance. The antithesis of honesty.
