@polinium @TeresaAndScout My husband had bad credit and we got a better interest rate with just me on the application. We received mortgage insurance scam letters addressed ONLY to him. Both our names are on the deed, they saw the man’s name and assumed he’s the decision maker. It’s not even his mortgage!

@sam_d_1995 It’s also important to note that two major train stations, Union Station and Ogilvie, are hubs for the regional train system (Metra) and are about 2 blocks away from this stretch of highway. If you work in a one mile radius from this highway, there’s no reason you need to drive.

@clhubes I like to shop secondhand for clothes, and I like Latched Mama breastfeeding tanks. Some of them are $30 new and selling for $28 on Poshmark! Once you add in their super fast shipping (the only option) I might as well buy new. Like, I thought secondhand = bargains

@lazarwolfbk My husband and I moved to a small town and we often joke that “this is the future the liberals want.” It’s a 15 min walk to coffee shop, Walgreens, and church; it’s 25 mins to groceries and the town square because we live on the edge in a newer subdivision, but easily bike-able!

@clhubes I had an appt with an accountant on Tuesday AM and I straight up forgot about it until I was in bed on Wednesday night. I never do that! I had reminders set! I’m calling to apologize and reschedule, but like… I also sort of don’t feel bad. I have a tiny person to keep alive!

@MonicaHesse I’m excited to inherit the furniture that my parents have, but they’re using it right now. Meanwhile I need places to store/put things, so I buy secondhand furniture that will be disposed of once I get the nice stuff, but I feel guilty for over consuming and trashing.

@AshleyGWinter This is incredibly timely for me because just yesterday I decided to try on my pre-pregnancy jeans even though at 8 weeks postpartum I’m 20+ pounds up. Hurt my own feelings on that one 😅 but instead of beating myself up, I’m just going to buy new pants and resume jogging

@Srirachachau @DropTheMike7 I’m Facebook friends with a therapist. She recently posted that she had started a new page for her ENERGY HEALING BUSINESS (reiki, tarot, meditation). It just feels weird to me that she’d be peddling that stuff in addition to her actual therapy job that required a Masters degree
