Trying to be a better writer of fiction. LL 2019 LWB Page 100 comp; Runner-up Cornish Writing Challenge 2017: Finalist Australia Cricket Poetry Prize 2012.
@Wylmenmuir Happy birthday, Wyl! Those sunnies are fab and your view ain't half bad, either... hope the day continues in this vein or gets even better... ๐๐
@MarcCorbishley My dad's soap of choice! Always on the cracked wooden draining board next to a paint-stained Belfast sink in his workshop. I loved the smell - because I knew he was in there. ๐
Thanks for the running joke in today's @writers_hq newsletter. I, too, am a confirmed non-runner. Even my friend's 2 yr old does it better. But I can confirm I'm NOT an anti-writer. Quite the opposite. You just have to keep on keeping on, as my MiL said.
@MarionETodd@NetGalley@richardosman Well I know whose books I'm reading... rats, I mean READ. Waiting for your next, Marion! I do think there's room for all sorts of crime fiction, though. Haven't finished TMC yet. ๐xxx
@kathyhoyle1 But to us, your work will never be rejected. Read your WINNING story (again) in the Crossing the Tees anthology. Bloody love it... ๐ xx
@under_blue_sky I hear ya, sista...we should have online space where insomniac writers go to discuss work, process, crafts (esp knitting) and share pics of animals or food. Anyone else??
@under_blue_sky Lovely job as ever on your barnet! But your hair doesn't look grey. It's a softly dappled silver which looks so pretty on you. ๐ Mine's gone steelworks grey with more than a hint of steam train smudge about it... ๐ xxx
@caileybarker You're a machine...! Is it crime, fantasy or something else entirely? Yes - please take the rest of the week off. Great to catch up last week, btw. ๐
@BrittonBookGeek I'm... but sadly, we've created a culture which is SO judgmental, everyone feels entitled to express their opinion, with no thought as to HOW it is received. Sorry this happened to you. Virtual hugs and keep on keeping on. You are doing a marvellous job!! X
