To everyone in Mexico City who made England supporters feel so welcome over the last few days, thank you. What an incredible city you have, and even better people.

For those who travelled from England, this will be remembered as one of the favourite away trips. Thank you to everyone who organised, hosted and welcomed us with such warmth and respect.

From the Chihuahuas at our Fans’ Embassy to the Lucha Libre, to the bars and the restaurants, the incredible stadium atmosphere and the respect shown after the final whistle, it’s been a trip we’ll never forget.

Now it’s on to Miami (via anywhere and everywhere in between), but we hope our paths cross again soon. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🤝🇲🇽

Hoy México cayó, sí… pero cayó de pie, con la frente en alto y con el corazón por delante.

Ante Inglaterra, nuestros jugadores dejaron el alma en la cancha. Pelearon todos los balones, defendieron cada jugada y nos recordaron lo que significa portar la camiseta verde con orgullo, carácter y amor.

Este mundial no se nos va a olvidar. Porque más allá del marcador, vimos en cada juego a un equipo que hizo vibrar a todo un país, que nos hizo creer que unidos, todos los Mexicanos podemos soñar con hacer cosas grandes.

Gracias, jóvenes. Gracias por representarnos con dignidad a millones de mexicanos. Hoy nos duele, pero también nos sentimos orgullosos de todos ustedes.
