If anyone wants to talk about this album lmk cause I cannot stop listening to it but do not know how to explain to anyone that it’s like kind of anime metal, hyperpop, Poppy/Grimes combo about stalking, having LoL crash outs and eating corn dogs and it’s amazing 😂
I love how Spotify and Apple Music handle genres
Spotify: Who are we to classify art on this album’s page? Unrelated, you listening to this inspired me make you a 4th Wave 2000’s Melodic Mallcore Revival playlist.
Apple Music on the album’s page: Hard Rock
My brain read this as a tour poster and the thing that snapped me out of it wasn’t that Suddenly Beamed doesn’t sound like the name of a band, it just doesn’t sound like the name of a band Invent would play with.
Onlookers were shocked as Marcus Vik was suddenly beamed up into space while opening for the first show of The Plot In You’s headline tour. The remaining members have left the tour for a ritual that will return their missing singer.

@rndmTariq Realized I never gave any thoughts! Only thought I could have after the drop into Passover was oh. My. God. The intro was correct I did experience something life changing. So delightfully unexpected. Such a fun project all the way around but that guitar alone really did it for me

@chaoticreqeuim I didn’t either until I listened on Apple and now feel like I know it doesn’t sound as good and I’m not sure I’m going to be able to unhear it 😟
I fear all the Apple Music’ers may be right. I’ve tried both out side by side before (and had AM for 4 years) and didn’t used to notice a major difference but now I hear a DRAMATIC difference. If you told me Spotify has Apple stock and nerfed themselves to help it I’d believe you
@chaoticreqeuim There’s something more than just the lossless though, the range is way better. It might be an EQ issue in the Spotify app that I could fix but it feels like putting in foam ear plugs switching back and forth on the same song on the same speaker at the same volume.
Is it just me or did we get some uniquely amazing music ‘21-23? Might’ve been lockdown gave some great inspiration (unfortunately) and time to work on it (fortunately). Some great stuff this year and last but it hasn’t quite knocked those release years out of heavy rotation.
I yelled at my Alexa 3 times to turn off the lights on the living room and when she did I accidentally said good girl and now she’s in my bed doing this. Any tips?

@rndmTariq I LOVED STs 2023 album even more than this one though and it still fell #2 to mully on that list. 2024 felt slightly dry for me but I think 95% of my 2023 and 2022 top 25 are going to or did drop this year and I’m elated. Love newcomers to the lists even more though.
@rndmTariq Mully’s wild, album 23, 24 EP, then 25 album and just randomly toss out Prototheme which isn’t even on it. ST is a love hate, especially this album. You gotta be very polyjamourous to like it. It’s metal/core/prog/math/pop/rap/R&B sometimes on the same 7 min song. I get the hate
@rndmTariq Gotta kept the TL on their toes 😆 AL is so good, Halley, funny face and The Weight in particular are bangers. Heavy rotation. Wow I suck and haven’t checked out your new drop, on that immediately. Adding the rest. Hot Mully bout to wreck this on Friday I’m sure, 2025 is insane
@rihannathotep@musicstruggles1 I wish more critics and just people in general would admit they’re just not the target audience. If I was a critic I would just rank things on what percentage of people I think would be into things. Plenty of things I don’t enjoy that I know full well 90+% of all people will/do
