@xMBGx Yeah for the last 4 years? where was everyone when PS5 slapped the classics onto a membership instead of just enabling the discs to be playable? Or when the PS4 forced us to rebuy everything cause they made PS1-3 incompatible?

@IGN They're still trying huh? Longtime coming. From the moment PSfans let Sony drop PS2 compatibilty from the PS3 with the made up excuse that is backwards compatibility it was over. Went to PC mid PS4 cycle when it was blatant PS5 had 0 intentions of fixing any of this.

Also a cause this btw,GS always selling used would create enough copies that would stop profit for developers. This in turn also created the massive DLC and MxT obsession we see today.
@charlieINTEL GS is also a reason why DLC/Microtransactions went so haywire. A forgotten event was when Bioware went to court due a Dragon Age DLC codes not working on a used product. Bioware won cause DLC was a industry wide answer to how over bloated the used market had become.
@charlieINTEL GS has fault in all this, and have been gearing up for this switch. Its why you go in now and it's mostly apparel and cards now. They're extreme push with always selling used (making them 100% profit)would hard stop profits for the publishers once enough used were circling.

@GamingCentral26 Everything just changed to the Pokemon vs Palworld disccussion for me. But as stated, Sony already had permission whenever people accepted backwards compatibility as an excuse to make older discs unplayable, forcing you to buy the rereleases. PS4 even made you rebuy everything.
Pokémon really needs to step up the ante tho, Legends Arceus is nice but a meep compared to this. Pokemon are nature benders, Kaiju sized Legendary should be shifting the entire area around you, but not even the Arceus fight feels this well legendary.
Nintendo will see this $30 game and say "let's make another unoptimized piece of shit that barely counts as a game and sell it for $80"
