I can’t believe it’s been 2.5 years since we started Angel Squad.
Thank you, TechCrunch, for helping us highlight our amazing community.
From the very beginning, Hustle Fund and I wanted to make angel investing more accessible.
@yanabana@bchesky@Airbnb Might be a contrarian here, but I like it! Understanding the market, customer journey outside your product, and how are going to message, price, and sell should be more in the PM's purview, and helps foster more holistic thinking about solutions and managing outcomes.
Good overall UX and a well-designed UI are really important to me and to every product, but don't throw your business acumen out the window. Prioritizing design should never mean disregarding business outcomes. Hope this was helpful! /end
I think I have a blog post in me on this topic as a PM who has done *a lot* of UI work over the last 11+ years. Here are some first thoughts...
#1 - If your UX improvements are not in any way business outcome-oriented, you should NOT be pitching or doing them.
#8 Point out the objective of a feature or the thing you all agree you want users to do to make the case for UI updates. For example, if it's critical for a user to fill out a form, but how/where to do/finish/complete it correctly isn't well represented, it needs to be fixed.
@carlvellotti 1) Be respectful of their role and NEVER try to do/tell them how to do their job.
2) Help eng understand customer and business needs - that's when some of the best ideas and collaboration happen.
3) Tell them about the impact their work is having and publicize their wins.
Appreciation post for @canva, one of my absolute favorite products. Great functionality, easy to use, makes even me seem like a good visual designer (which is a FEAT!).

Ran a poll recently on concepts #productmanager s without an eng background wanted no-code explanations for. One of the top requests was #apis, so to start, made this infographic: https://t.co/dxwccgPbjn. Enjoy!
