It was a tough fight, and a close one in our race for DA. I congratulated my opponent this morning and wish him the best of luck. It is my hope the commissioner’s court will give him the funding needed to make Harris County a safer place to live. I am grateful to all of you who worked so hard on this campaign with me. I am very honored to have been sworn in as Judge of the 496th Criminal District Court today. Thank you, Justice Kevin Jewell, for administering the oath of office for me.

I am humbled and grateful to serve Harris County as your new District Court Judge. Thank you for your trust and support.

Good for the Community appointment by Gov. @GregAbbott_TX of @dansimons4da to take over the 496th District Court in Harris County! Dan will set a high bar as a new Criminal Court Judge with his prior service in the county @HarrisCountyDAO and his background in criminal law.

Now that incoming DA @ElectSeanTeare’s license to practice law in Texas has been renewed, it would be a "hoot" to see him try and prosecute a case in Judge Simon's court! @lawsuitreform @HRBC1 @TPPF #txlege

Congratulations to all the winners on Tuesday night!

The results were truly historic and served as a big step in the right direction for Harris County, and for our country. This includes Republican wins for 10 out of 16 county-wide judge races, and 3 that span multiple counties.

I am excited about the important work that will be done over the next four years to make Harris County safer! It was a great honor to help lead the charge as your nominee for District Attorney.
