Screen time detrimental to neurological development of children yet CMS ... https://t.co/V0Gy400LKm via @YouTube CMS should scrap iPads for grades K thru 2 and Chromebooks for 3 thru 5. Why--more tech, less learning plus save money. For lower grades return to paper and pencil.
Illiteracy is a policy choice. 54% of CMS 3rd graders are not proficient in reading. Why doesn’t CMS follow the Mississippi example where 3rd graders must demonstrate proficiency in reading before going to 4th grade? Black 4th graders moved to third nationally and Hispanic 1st.

My opponents say meritocracy is a myth. I disagree.
If we abandon merit, privilege and politics decide who gets ahead.
I’ll fight for:
✅Academic rigor so kids can shine
✅Resources that go to classrooms, not bureaucracy
Meritocracy isn’t a myth—it’s a promise. Let’s keep it.
Want More Money for Teachers? Cut the CMS Bureaucracy.
CMS bureaucracy keeps growing while teachers and students don’t. Cut admin, fund classrooms. Kids need teachers, not more central office staff. #PutKidsFirst
Getting ready for the Labor Day parade in Charlotte. Need to save our schools with things that work, better behavior, stronger character formation, and focus on the basics: reading, writing, and math.
Today, I officially filed as a candidate for the district one seat on the CMS school board. I’m a Christian, husband, father, retired Air Force Lt Col, business manager, and licensed NC teacher. It’s time for T.E.A.—trust, excellence, and accountability.
NCDPI's 2024 Report Card, 38.9% of CMS students met state standard for math & 30% for reading. Plus, Meck County Commissioner Arthur Griffin cited CMS--40% of 2024 graduates had a GPA below 2.0, suggesting many students promoted and graduated w/o mastering the material.
@shredathome @TheRobertBshow I wish values and character took a prominent role in our Mecklenburg County public schools rather than social and political agendas.
It’s Time to Put Students First — Support School Choice.
At one CMS middle school in Huntersville, only 13.5% of students are college- or career-ready in reading, and just 16.7% in math, according to CMS data. Families there should have alternative school choices.
