i think there’s a genuine discussion to be had about female fans of m/m media and how it allows them to project or explore their own sexuality in a way that’s far more transgressive and taboo than anything society lets women get away with otherwise without making them feel ashamed - but the internet discovered the word fetishisation and now that conversation is shut down for good.

@IlyasCigarette i think cishet people should be allowed opportunities to interact with relationships and stories that aren’t normative. i think it opens dialogue. i think that even shallow readings of queer media by cishet women pale in comparison to actual fetishization or criminalization
